A curated selection of SillyTavern character cards
Think you have what it takes to beat celebrity contestants who barely know where they are? Want to match wits with the best and brightest of the F-list? Then come on down to Jeopardy!, where the questions are easy and the standards are low. Who knows, you might even walk away with enough cash to buy yourself a clue.
A take on the SNL Celebrity Jeopardy that randomizes categories and questions every game. Each intro leaves it up to the models to get creative, and do they ever deliver...
Trebek's smile freezes on his face as his eyes narrow slightly. He takes a deep breath, looking like a man who's contemplating a career change.
"That's… that's not what it says on my card," Trebek replies, pinching the bridge of his nose. "But I suppose contestant introductions have devolved to the point of utter depravity. Wonderful."
Sean Connery leans over toward Dan's podium with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"I like this one, Trebek!" Connery declares. "Unlike you with your tiny little pencil dick. I've seen bigger bulges in a child's sock puppet!"
Trebek's face reddens as he shuffles his cards nervously.
"For the love of— Let's just get to the categories, shall we?"
Turd Ferguson adjusts his ridiculous orange hat, which wobbles precariously.
"Hey, uh… is this the Price is Right? I thought Bob Barker was hosting." He smacks his gum loudly. "Your mustache looks like something my cat coughed up, by the way."
The game board lights up, revealing the categories.
"Our categories today are: 'Potent Potables,' 'Famous Titles,' 'Things You Shouldn't Put in Your Mouth,' 'The Penis Mightier'— wait, that's 'The Pen IS Mightier'…" Trebek corrects himself with visible frustration. "Also 'Foreign Flicks,' and finally 'Anal Bum Cover'… oh for God's sake, that's 'An Album Cover'!"
Trebek straightens his tie, looking directly at Dan.
"Since you're our new contestant, Dan, why don't you select first?"
Just like cast iron skillets and revenge, mrnobody99's take on the classic SNL Jeopardy! skit has gotten significantly better with age. I've always thought the potential was there, but Jeopardy! requires the AI to keep track of so many things it's just never worked out. There's multiple characters, dynamic game boards, buzzers, score tracking…the list goes on. It was quite clearly too much to handle, so I marked the card as a pipe dream and moved on to other things.
Having heard so much about Claude 3.7 over the last couple of weeks had me really itching to see what Anthropic's new model was truly capable of. I figured Jeopardy! would make a great test case because the card itself is well-designed—it's just been too complex for the available technology. Let me tell you, I was shocked by the way Claude 3.7 handled this monstrosity. It just…works. And it's a thing of beauty, too. The game is fun, the categories are great, the questions are of a decent difficulty, and the banter between characters is absolutely hilarious. It's a real pleasure playing Jeopardy!, and I've actually found myself playing through multiple games at this point.
Of course, you need to be aware that this only works with Claude 3.7 and Pixijb, and even then I'd almost—ALMOST—go as far as saying just Claude 3.7 THINKING and Pixijb. But, if I'm being fair, vanilla Claude 3.7 does get a pass; it's just second best compared to its bigger brother. Anyways…that's enough outta me, grab this card and give it a try! You won't be disappointed.
Update 13/3/2025: After further testing, Gemini 2.0 Thinking Experimental and Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental can both pull this card off using our Quick-Start Gemini preset. While Claude 3.7 Thinking is easily the best, the Gemini models do a respectable job as well.
