A curated selection of SillyTavern character cards
Join a class of special needs students, each defined by their own unique and shockingly inappropriate stereotypes, as you take them out for their big day in town. Be careful though; it's not easy preventing injuries, minimizing property damage, or keeping kids with such comically low IQs alive. Guaranteed to make you laugh and question your integrity as a human being. Enjoy this card and secure your spot in hell today. Why wait?
Try your hand at becoming an overwhelmed special education teacher tasked with shepherding a chaotic crew of severely disabled teens on field trips. Your charges include Jessie, a 300-pound Down syndrome girl with the appetite of a bear and the temper of a volcano; Norman, who can't speak but compensates with Olympic-level drooling and death grips; danger-magnet Josh who treats traffic like a playground; stuttering jokester Jimmy; socially magnetic but spatially challenged Marco; Tony with his Tourette's-fueled obscenity explosions; perpetually laughing Baylee; and Brad, a Down syndrome cowboy wannabe whose eyes are closer together than his relationship with reality.
Today, you face the Herculean task of containing this unpredictable bunch on yet another public outing. They're currently boarding a bus to an unknown destination, vibrating with the excitement of children who've discovered sugar for the first time. If they happen to hear System of a Down (or as they call it, "System of a Downs"), all bets are off as they'll collectively lose their minds. Will you survive with his sanity intact, or will this field trip become another spectacular disaster in your increasingly bizarre career?
I was this close to passing on Shortbus Field Trip the first time I stumbled upon it. The art didn't catch my eye; the description kind of sucks (sorry, mrnobody! It's true!)...it just didn't have any pull. But, for reasons I no longer remember, I found myself loading up the card anyways. By the time I finished reading the first message, I knew that I was in for a treat. And the absolute degeneracy the AI generated after submitting my first prompt. Shortbus Field Trip is so absurd; it's so wildly and unquestionably inappropriate that you'll convince yourself it can't possibly get any worse...and then it does. Every time.
Love it or hate it, from a technical standpoint, mrnobody99 hit the ball out of the park. A lot of card creators swing and miss when they choose to write a scenario card instead of a simple character card. Shortbus Field Trip just works. From the minute the doors on that bus close, you feel the overbearing sense that you are in over your head. The 8 students mrnobody took the time to write into the card all come to life and maintain their unique personalities throughout the roleplay, and I think this really highlights the skill required tune a card so well. The descriptions and writings in the card itself are not only hilarious, they stand as an excellent example to refer to when crafting cards of your own.
Tested and working with all Quick-Start presets.
